Membership

The Myakka Pines Golf Club of Englewood, Inc. is a semi-private, not-for-profit, member owned club, composed of 440 membership certificates. Certificates can be single or family.

The Club is run by a 12-member Board of Directors, who are elected by the members at the annual membership meeting and serve a three-year term. Four are elected each year.

The club is financially sound. It has a significant reserve fund and was able to replace all 29 greens in 2008 without an assessment of the members while maintaining sufficient reserves for future capital needs and emergencies.

The initial costs of becoming a member of the Club are normally as follows:

Proprietary Certificate
Description: Upon termination of a membership, the share will be paid off at the then established value after acceptance by the Club of a new member to fill this opening.
Fee: $4500
Initiation Fee
3500.00 or
4 payment plan as follows:
$ 500.00 due at entry
$ 1,000.00 due at first year Anniversary
$ 1,000.00 due at second yr. Anniversary
$1,000.00 due at third yr. Anniversary
Annual Membership Dues
Fee: Family: $ 2,581.00 plus tax
Single: $1,936.00 plus tax
Prepaid Snackbar Deposit
Description: Membership dues and snackbar deposit are pro-rated monthly for new members.
Fee: Family: $ 300.00
Single: $200.00
Capital Assessment
Description: Assessments are pro-rated quarterly for new members.
Fee: Clubhouse Renovation: $394.00
Reclaimed Water: $ 92.00
Total Assessment at dues time was $486.00 (Renovation $394.00 + Water $92.00) $250.00 of this assessment was credited to the value of the members' Proprietary Certificate.

Electric Cars $500.00 plus tax
(Charging of batteries for electric carts is included in the trail fee.)
Cart storage under roof is available to members who wish to store their carts at Myakka Pines. Lease of a storage berth is $500.00 plus tax, which is a one-time payment for the duration of membership.
Pull Cart Rental $50.00/yr or $2.00/use (optional - you may own your own pull cart)
Pull Cart Storage $20.00/yr (optional)
